Stop. Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through the mouth. As you exhale allow your body to relax a little more. Now let your body settle into a normal breath rhythm for you. Notice the cool air coming in and the warm air as it leaves. Try to make your exhales slightly longer than the inhale to really allow your body to soften.
Take notice of your body and how it feels. Notice if you can sense any tension anywhere, your face, shoulders, tummy, legs and simply allow the area to soften, melt and relax as you breathe.
Observe any sensations in the body and allow any thoughts that arise to simply drift off like clouds. You may begin to sense the feeling of ease or possibly still some tension left that you can breath into to allow it to dissolve. Breath and relax.
Proceed to ask yourself "What is the most important thing that I need to give my attention to right now?" Once you have your answer allow it to settle and proceed into the rest of your day taking the answer with you and a feeling of focus and calm. Remember to thank yourself for taking a few moments out to care for yourself.
