Our well being is entwined with mental health and physical health. Neither of them are in isolation. What is the mind-body connection? It means that our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can positively or negatively affect our biological functioning. In other words, our minds can affect how healthy our bodies are! Awareness of the mind-body connection is by no means new. Until approximately 300 years ago, virtually every system of medicine throughout the world treated the mind and body as a whole. We then moved away from this approach to physical and mental health as being separate things to be treated individually. However recently there has been a change to recognise how much each is inextricably entwined with each other. When we feel stressed our blood pressure rises, we can't sleep so we then get aches and pains. We break a leg and we feel down, miserable, and our overall well being dips.
Our approach at Press Pause is to see the whole person and to work with the whole person. All the sessions we offer and courses are tailored to individual needs and desired outcomes. Have a look at the videos on our site here and Facebook. Do follow us on Facebook too
