As I was running this morning I took a few moments just to stand and absorb the surroundings, be still. It was simply breath taking with such beauty. October can serve as a time in which we can prepare ourselves for a time of stillness and set an intention to develop our practice of mindfulness.
So as we put away our summer clothes and shoes and put on our woolly jumpers and snugly slippers, light hearth fires and get ready for long evenings indoors we can dust off our meditation cushions and take a moment to rest for a while. Let's recharge our batteries, still our minds and tune into the mood of autumn. Treat yourself to a day of relaxation whether that is a long meditation, exercise, massage. Just turn off your phone, and don't check your emails.
