Practicing this simple act can help increase focus. Taking a minute to be still allows the mind to rest and reset. It helps clear away mental clutter and improve concentration and focus on tasks at hand. We can become more productive for taking a minute of stillness.
It can help to reduce stress as stillness promotes relaxation and can help reduce the levels of stress of hormones in the body. Taking a minute form the business of life gives us a chance to recharge and find inner calm.
How about improved creativity? When our mind is still we can find inspiration, solutions to problems too.
Self awareness can increase as we tune into our thoughts, emotions and physical sensations. We can learn to understand ourselves better and our needs and so make more conscious choices.
It can lead to better decision making as we connect with our inner wisdom and we can make informed decisions rather than just react.
